Ronnie Turner may not be the most popular of his super famous family yet, but he’s all on his own. Though no stranger to fame and the entertainment industry, musicians, actors and realtors prefer to live their lives under the radar. Interestingly, Ronnie inherited the musical genes of his celebrity parents, but chose a different career path in showbiz. Discover facts you never knew about Tina and Ike Turner’s son.

Ronnie Turner – Bio

Born in October 1960, Ronald Renelle Turner of California is the only child of Tina and Ike Turner. Ronnie had a very comfortable upbringing and is no stranger to the spotlight as both of his parents were music stars. His father Ike was a controversial rock ‘n’ roll pioneer and founder of the Kings of Rhythm band, while his mother Tina is considered “The Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”. There is a lack of information about Ronnie’s educational endeavors. Though not as famous as his parents, the celebrity kid apparently inherited his entertainment genes.

Ronnie Turner’s musical inclinations were evident from an early age. With the help of his parents, he began singing and playing various instruments as a child. Ronnie’s father in particular taught him to play the bass and he played for both Ike and Tina. Given his family background, many initially thought Ronnie was the next big star to watch out for in the ’70s and ’80s, but the talented kid had other interests in the entertainment industry. He unsuccessfully decided to pursue an acting career. Despite his well-known family connections, Ronnie Turner has struggled to carve out a niche for himself in Hollywood. As well as his popular role in What Does Love Have To Do With ItNot much is known about Ronnie’s acting career in the 1993 film, which is based on the life of his famous mother and her struggles in an abusive marriage.

He is said to have played other small roles, but there is little information about his Hollywood endeavors after that. As a musician, Ronnie Turner was once the bassist in the popular band The Prophets, now known as the Black Angels. More recently, Turner is believed to have shut down the real estate entertainment industry. He makes his living primarily as a realtor in Los Angeles.

Personal life

As previously mentioned, Ronnie is the only child of Ike and Tina Turner’s union. The former famous couple – who officially tied the knot two years after the birth of their son – have had a tumultuous marriage for as long as it lasted. After 16 years as husband and wife, Ronnie’s parents finally ended their marriage in 1978. After that, they both moved on and remarried. Ronnie’s mother, Tina Turner, is currently married to Erwin Bach, a German-born record manager. Despite being the only child of his parents’ union, Ronnie has half-siblings including Craig Raymond Turner, Ike Turner Jr., Michael Turner, Mia Turner, Linda Trippeter and Twanna Turner Melby.

Ronnie Turner is married to French singer, songwriter and reality TV star Afida Turner. There is little if any information about the couple’s love affair from the start, but it is believed they broke up for a while before tying the knot in 2007. Ronnie and Afida have their own share of marital troubles. One such case was when Afida claimed her husband’s health was deteriorating and he could no longer walk due to dementia and accused her mother-in-law, Tina, of abandoning her ailing son. In June 2017, Ronnie and Afida announced again that they had split, although they have since reconciled and are now happily living together in their Los Angeles home.
